Duncan Hannigan tries to hit the ball past the keeper...but the shot is deflected out of play by the keeper!  The linesman flags for a corner for  Atherton.  Sammy Newell places the ball to take the corner.  He whips the ball into the box, and manages to find Brin Hines.  Brin Hines jumps up and gets his head to the ball attempting to beat the keeper...but Mel Mullane stops the shot!  He can't hold it though...Duncan Hannigan is first to the loose ball...Duncan Hannigan looks to shoot the ball into the top of the net...but the shot is saved by Mel Mullane!  

31' - Alen Carey finds Mike Keddy with a long pass.  Mike Keddy uses his pace to beat Nick Tyree.  

32' - Mike Keddy crosses the ball and finds Paul Nzeogwu.  Paul Nzeogwu tries to strike the ball into the top of the net...but the ball flies over the bar!

38' - Brin Hines dispossesses Paul Nzeogwu and the ball goes loose.  Atherton try to launch a counter attack.  Mal Atkins passes to Duncan Hannigan.  Duncan Hannigan curves the ball into the box, but Paul Nzeogwu intercepts and takes possession.  

41' - Paul Nzeogwu spots a run from Dave Gair.  He tries to release him with a long throughball, and Dave Gair takes the ball.  Dave Gair looks to slide the ball past the keeper...but the shot goes wide!

45' - The referee blows the whistle for half time.

50' - Mal Atkins passes to Malcolm Berthelsen.  Malcolm Berthelsen passes to Duncan Hannigan.  Duncan Hannigan passes the ball to David Whitfield.  David Whitfield passes to Duncan Hannigan.  Duncan Hannigan tries to hit a long range shot...but the shot is saved by the keeper!
