40' - Mark Novia passes a long ball to John Marvin.  Will Foley dispossesses John Marvin and the ball goes loose.  Rob Betton sees Neil Selkirk making a run.  He attempts to release him with a throughball, and Neil Selkirk takes the ball.  Neil Selkirk tries to hit the ball past the keeper...but the shot is stopped by the keeper!  He is unable to hold it though...Eddie Mewies gets to the ball first and clears.

44' - Duncan Fidelis finds Gordon McAfee with a long pass.  Gordon McAfee crosses the ball and finds Mark Novia.  Mark Novia directs a header hoping to beat the keeper...but James Berry deflects the shot out of play.  The linesman flags for a corner for  Chesterfield.  Gordon McAfee will take the corner.  He curls the ball into the box and finds Paul McPherson.  Paul McPherson gets above the defence and directs a header down towards the bottom corner...but the shot is deflected out of play by the keeper!  That will be a corner for  Chesterfield.  Gordon McAfee will take the corner.  He whips the ball into the box, but opposing player Edward Bruce takes possession.  

45' - The referee blows the whistle for half time. 

46' - Bristol Rovers kick the ball off for the start of the second half.  

49' - Eddie Mewies finds John Gwenn with a short pass.  John Gwenn slides the ball to Edward Bruce.  Edward Bruce plays a long ball to Mark Baird.  Mark Baird plays a short pass to Malcolm Quinn.  Malcolm Quinn speeds past Rob Betton.  

50' - Malcolm Quinn crosses the ball, but the ball is overhit and misses everyone.  

53' - There is going to be a subsitution.  Mark Novia is going to be taken off.  Sam Doak joins the game from the bench.

70' - Edward Bruce crosses the ball, but Dennis MacMichael intercepts and makes a clearance.  

79' - Dennis MacMichael finds John Marvin with a long ball.  Eddie Mewies tackles John Marvin and takes possession.  Eddie Mewies sees Malcolm Quinn making a run.  He attempts a long ball over the top, but Malcolm Quinn is caught offside!  

83' - Paul McPherson passes a long ball to Rob Betton.  Rob Betton crosses the ball into the box, and manages to find Paul McPherson.  Paul McPherson jumps up to head the ball towards the top corner...and its in! It's a nice goal from Paul McPherson for Chesterfield!  The ball flew past the helpless goalkeeper!
