He tries to release him with a long ball over the top, and Joe Dempster is able to control the ball.  Joe Dempster looks to hit the ball past the keeper...but the shot bounces off the post!  Nicholas Newell gets to the ball first and clears.

25' - Bob Fannon finds Ian McLean with a long ball.  Ian McLean passes to Rob McClurg.  Rob McClurg looks to strike a long range shot into the top of the net...but the shot goes over!

36' - Oliver MacBride spots a run from Rob McClurg.  He attempts a long throughball to his teammate, and Rob McClurg runs on to the ball.  Rob McClurg hits the ball...but the shot hits the upright!  Blake Flynn is first to the ball...Blake Flynn tries to strike the ball into the top of the net...but the keeper manages to stop the shot!  

44' - Jack Rees finds Ian Xenakis with a long pass.  Ian Xenakis crosses the ball, finding Malcolm Spalding.  Malcolm Spalding shoots towards goal...but Arthur Slane stops the shot!  He can't hold it though...Ian McLean gets to the ball first and clears.

45' - With a turn of pace, Rob McClurg beats Jack Rees.  

45' - The referee blows the whistle for half time. 

46' - Gateshead kick the ball off for the start of the second half.  

49' - Harry Lloyd passes to Ian Xenakis.  Ian Xenakis plays the ball to Nicholas Newell.  Bryan Russell tackles Nicholas Newell and gains possession for his team.  Bryan Russell spots a run from Oliver MacBride.  He attempts a long throughball to his teammate, and Oliver MacBride is able to control the ball.  Oliver MacBride tries to shoot the ball into the corner of the net...but the shot is stopped by the keeper!  He is unable to hold it though...Nicholas Newell is first to the loose ball and is able to clear.

54' - Rhys Flynn spots a run from Oliver MacBride.  He attempts to dink the ball to send his teammate through, but the linesman raises his flag for offside!  

56' - There is going to be a subsitution.  It looks like Rob McClurg is going to be taken off.  Mark Gibson joins the game from the bench.  

59' - Bob Fannon successfully tackles Arthur MacLaughlin and the ball goes loose.  Rhys Flynn uses his pace to beat Russell Marvin.
