Thanks for the clarifications.
I'm assuming that the LM and RM positions are also concerned to a lesser extent by the defensive styles, as they're midfielders too, even though they're wide, am I right?

There's also one thing I've noticed. Young players seem to stop developing after the age of 22. There are little to no improvements after they turn 22. Is that normal?
Also, the youth team (U19) don't have matches anymore. Do they still improve whilst they are in the youth setup?

Another thing that is concerning is that despite high finishing and composure stats, there are strikers/attackers in the game that have appalling scoring rates, even if they do take a lot of shots.

Players can keep improving up until they are between 26 and 30.  However, each stat has a "potential" which is set when they are generated, so could be they are managing to reach this really early on.

you'd have to give me an example of a striker with good finishing but poor scoring rate and i'll have a look
