Morning all, long shot but is JFKN12345    @JFKN12345    in here?  I tried messaging directly in game but just get a runtime error.

You have made offers for one of my coaches at Buxton.  He is not for sale, sorry.  I have rejected the offers but there is no option to add a text  reply so I cannot explain why.  I don't think you realise that I am a player - he is not for sale anyway, but especially not for comp of 39k (first offer) and then 40k (second offer).

@admin I don't know whether there is an issue with DMing players  - I don't often use it (I think you were my last!) but it is giving me a runtime error when I try to DM this player.

Something for your longlist, maybe!

Unfortunately the 2 games i have running on this server are slowing each other down, so i am making changes to simplify the processing on both games.

For FootballOwner, this so far only affects the Complete Transaction and Player Recovery processing for non-player clubs.  Hopefully  this means the daily processing speeds up for this game as well and takes less than the 4 hours or so its taking right now

I think the game has crashed on the end of season processing (or is this the year you reset?  Can't remember sorry).

Appreciate that it is too late to be worthwhile for this version, but will you address aging of players (and staff?) in the reset?  I have multiple players in their forties who have not deteriorated at all.  It does make it hard too plan, as the players I had brought in to replace them on retirement are now themselves in their thirties and are often unhappy with me as they are not getting game time!  Also this is happening with some staff - I just noticed that the Boavista FC Head Coach is 88!!!!  He's a true servant of the game.

the player retirement thing is really annoying.  there is definitely code to do this, and it works fine when i run it on my laptop.  but clearly its not running as there shouldn't really be any outfield players older than 40

Strange.  Computers are great until they aren't.  My Caldas front line of Mark and Stecklov are both now 43 but their stats have not declined at all.  Esteban Lopez, my midfield maestro, is similarly defying Father Time and performing as well as ever into his forties.  It is a weird thing - I used to see red stats on aging players and adjust around that, but I have not seen a red, declining stat for a few seasons now.  Feels as though an unrelated change turned out to be related, maybe.  Afraid I didn't spot what it was at the time.

think i found the schoolboy error re players going on into their 40s.  put in a fix but it won't catch players until their next training processing is due (happens every 3 game months)

Well done for finding it!  (The silly errors are the hardest to find, as they're in odd places)

sorry about the end season error today which unfortunately coincided with me being out all day.  fixed now, and hope the season ended with the correct number of teams in each division etc and no mistakes with playoffs

Looks like he retired on 1st June 2051.  For some reason you didn't get a message...

i checked the code and found it was writing the message but not actually sending it when players decide to retire!  its been like this since the start.  i have fixed this now

Oh, bad luck loosing my best player that early in his career..
