Due to the integer limit in the game, I'm going to have to put an automatic "capping" on club capital so that it cannot exceed 1 billion.
In future versions of the game i'll have to address the ease with which wealth is built, but won't have time for a while

Surely that is going to lead to hyper-inflation in the player market, as the billionaire owners will have to spend their capital to avoid losing it?  That risks pricing out all bar the top few promoters from most of even the low hanging fruit in the transfer market, surely?

I doubt it personally, having 1bn capital is plenty enough to not need to worry about any surplus money being lost, and from my perspective this change wouldn't put me in the market for any player who I wouldn't have been in for otherwise. For a club to be going over that capital limit they've probably got a strong squad already so probably won't be interested in the low hanging fruit, unless they're the best they can get to replace retiring players, in which case they'd be in for them anyway.

I think the low hanging fruit is potentially more likely to be inflated by owners selling up, buying new clubs and pumping in owner capital to replace a whole squad or two at once, but the cap wouldn't make that any worse.

It seems to go through phases depending on the calibre of players being generated at the time (I remember one period where the bidding wars were wild) but a lot of the time where the top players go comes down to who finds them first and/or acts quickly rather than sheer spending power.

I dont know where to spend all my money to be honest.

And yes, getting top players is more a "who acts first" instead of a money thing.

No idea what impact it will have from a game play point of view, but when the integer limit gets exceeded it causes all sorts of problems in the game.  there will be a better solution out there if i had time to think and develop it, but in the meantime this will have to do
