Reboot Ideas

When eventually I get round to rebooting this game, I'm thinking of a few big changes relating to how you "buy" clubs, and how points are awarded etc.

First, and biggest change is just to do away with the concept of owners starting off with a certain amount of money and having to buy a club.

I'm thinking of replacing with a "token" system, which allows you to exchange the token for a club.  Every player will be able to get one top tier club (800+ class), one mid tier (400 to 799) and one lower (399 and below).

If you want to get rid of your club, you'll just get an appropriate token back depending on the class.

Owners will still also get "capital" which they can transfer into a club.  So any purchases which have previously been made will be added onto this.

Taking into the account the above, i'll completely overhaul how owners get points.  taking a small club up the divisions should earn as many points as winning the premiership etc

With only 30 - 40 active club owning players at the moment, maybe giving the ability to immediately take charge of a big club will increase retention.

Secondly, I may streamline some of the countries with multiple non-league levels, and just retain the top couple of tiers of non-league - i think this might only affect England.  I can then replace with some additional countries/leagues.

Any thoughts?

Not sure about a token systen. I think somehow you should deserve to get a top tier club.

What about scouting and youth improvements?
I miss Austria, would great to get that league.

I did initially as well. But it seems only a small number of people agree out of over a 1000 who signed up.

That's why I want to make the points system equally reward owners who do well with small clubs.

Youth system will get an overhaul as well. Not sure what yet.

What do you suggest for scouting?

in general scouting is too accurate and youth player predictions are too inaccurate. so everything is welcome that change that.

I don't have as much dev time as I used to, so most likely it will be next year, hopefully by easter

Hi, I think that new idea of token system might be a good way to attract this game.
If there would be new league (Austria?), it would be great too.
For those who want managing from lowest division to the top, England is good place with its big divisions system. I hope that Isthmian league will not be cutted out.
Now I manage 3 low tier teams, but I'll rethink my plans and will buy a top tier one soon.
I'll do reboot close to your main idea.

It seems like each non-league nation in this game had one or few teams. These teams play sometimes friendly matches. And... what about create Rooq League for these teams, with transfer system close to Turkey system or even easier? Such specific, original virtual league...
It could be a regular league, not the cup or tournament. Winners of this league could join Champions League or other tournament.
